As a young student, I adored the idea of being holed up in some exotic corner of the world writing about the social arts and creative communities I had seen on National Geographic or on “Nova”. The idea of losing shoe leather as a travel writer inspired me to take journalism classes and become an editor in high school, and apply for journalism schools around the world.
After studying journalism at a liberal arts college in Santiago, Chile, I decided to integrate my love for music and entertainment arts. Putting writing on hold to learn audio-visual skills with colleagues in other fields opened up an exciting path even wider than I had imagined, however distracting. Now a transfer student at the University of Utah, Strategic sequence under the Communications Department will allow me to bring all that education and experience together for a Bachelor in Arts degree in Mass Communications.
